History

Dome Lighting & Fan Company was founded by Carol & Ed Rondo in 1991 in Concord, California. We exclusively built, designed and installed Dome It® brand custom fluorescent lighting for kitchens. Our business expanded to full service lighting & electrical ( Rondo's Lighting & Electric). Still the exclusive Dome It dealer, our product lines have multiplied with the encouragement and expanded needs of our loyal existing customers.

By the end of 1992, we were off and running gathering many new customers from showing our products at Bay Area home and Garden shows. Our unique energy savings lighting product has seen continued appeal, especially with the state's emphasis and consumer demand for saving electricity.

In 1993, we moved to a larger retail location in Concord, California, the Heritage Square Furnishings Mall. Our new location had been a very successful ceiling fan store (Fan Factory) since the early 1980s. With many of their returning customers wanting to buy fans, we were now the store to buy ceiling fans and became a full service Emerson Ceiling Fan dealer in 1993. The current economy has required us to make some dramatic changes in how we deliver installation and service. We have several gifted and qualified contractors who we work as a team with to deliver a seamless installation experience for the homeowner.
